Gov AI action plan turns one, what have they done so far?

One year on and the UK Government has ticked off 76% of the goals in its AI Action Plan, a new dashboard claims.

Technology Minister Liz Kendall launched the dashboard, developed by Number 10's Data Science team, on Thursday alongside a more analog report updating the nation on its AI strategy.

During a event hosted by Bloomberg on Wednesday, Kendall tempered UK compute expectations: "We are securing our own sovereign AI capability... But we shouldn’t try to outrun the US or China on building the most or the biggest data centres.
